Children selected a symbol and guessed the emotion word. The practitioner confirmed or gently corrected the emotion word and then used the symbol card to point to the position of the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and hands and related these to the emotion. The children studied the facial expressions on the symbols and then used these to create their own Emotion Pumpkins.
