In this ASN base, pupils and staff used an emoji carpet to create an Emotion Words game.

Pupils each stood on an individual emoji face and took it in turns to roll a large dice. All pupils moved round the number of spaces on the dice to arrive at a new emoji face. There, each pupil had to think of a synonym for the emotion word they landed on. Staff used visual aids, such as the Symbol Book/Folder to support with additional word choices.

The game continued until everyone had run out of synonyms.

A really simple yet effective way of using already purchased emotional learning resources and incorporating Emotion Works to create new activities.
