All of the symbol sheets from the symbol book are downloadable in the digital resources. We printed a set off, laminated them and cut them into individual symbols. Adding loop velcro to the back of each symbol means that the symbols can be fixed to other tools and surfaces.
The (trading card collection) folder shown has 9 pockets per page so is perfect for creating an individual symbol file that matches the symbol book pages and layout.
We also added a set of un-laminated black and white symbols behind the colour symbols which are handy for photocopying for cutting and sticking onto worksheets.
A folder like this is also useful to have handy for learners who already know the vocabulary but benefit from symbol support when engaging in learning conversations using the dry wipe tools, cog cards or other resources.
